Coaching with Heather
For women at a turning point. When the old life stops fitting, and you’re ready to find out who you are now.
You're done putting yourself last, and you're not willing to lose yourself in what comes next. That's the work we do together: confidence built from the inside out, and a way back to the centre of your own life.
Whatever brings you here, the work underneath is the same. We start by telling the truth about where you are now: kind and brave seeing. We practise self-compassion, especially where you've been hardest on yourself. And we work with your mind and body together.
When you’re carrying it all:
How do I hold everything, without losing myself?
When the people you care for need less of you, or more:
Who am I, after tending everyone else?
When something has ended, or begun:
Who do I want to be now?
How it works
Start with a free chat. Fifteen minutes to see whether my style is right for you. No pressure and no preparation needed.
Most women begin with six weekly sessions. Some prefer to keep it open, and some come once a month. It’s yours to shape.
Sessions are 50 to 60 minutes. Online, or in person in Havelock North.
Between sessions, I’m in your corner by message. For when real life gets … lifey.
$225 per session, including GST.
$175 per session when you book six.
($1,050, payment plans available)
What it costs
Sound familiar?
-
You’re the one who remembers, who notices, who steps in.
You give so much.
Lately you feel irritated and unappreciated, and resentment is starting to build.
It can feel as if you care about people more than they care about you.
What can change
Over a few sessions, women often find they can:
— pause when someone asks for something, and check whether they actually want to do it, and when they’ll have room
— stay close to people and show they care, without bending themselves to avoid conflict or disappointment
— enjoy relationships that feel more balanced
-
You stay late and check emails into the night. The workload is unrealistic, saying no fills you with dread, and you go over every small decision again and again. You can see what it's costing you, and the people you love.
Over a few sessions, women often find they can:
step back and ask what's actually important here
back themselves to prioritise what matters, at work and at home
spend less time going over things, and notice their progress
look after their own wellbeing and their family's
-
You're standing on your own two feet, maybe for the first time in a long while. You're determined to grow into this next chapter, and you don't want to live by someone else's rules, or abandon yourself to please anyone, ever again. But you're not yet sure what you want, what you like about yourself, or how to feel at home in your own skin.
Over a few sessions, women often find they can:
feel okay as they are, without needing someone else to say so
trust their own capability, and take steps toward a life that's theirs
share their life with someone, without giving up the driver's seat
face what comes with courage and kindness, knowing they're not alone
The skills you’ll build
Noticing. Catching the link between your feelings, your inner voice and how you respond.
A kind inner voice. Being kind to yourself in the hardest moments, when life is at its messiest, eases the shame that keeps us stuck. You learn to meet a hard moment as an ally rather than a judge.
Getting clear on what matters to you now. Your values, your strengths, what you actually want. Most of us are running on an outdated list, maybe one that was never ours in the first place.
Finding the belief underneath. Every stuck pattern runs on a belief you may never have said out loud. You'll learn to find it, question it, and build beliefs that are true and useful for the life you want.
Holding your ground in relationship. Staying close to the people you love while seeing things differently and wanting different things. Saying the true thing. Letting someone be disappointed without abandoning yourself.
You'll practise tools you can use in daily life, so you can notice and respond differently in real time, in the situations that actually matter.
A client’s words
“I really appreciated the respect, warmth and empathy you showed. I also liked how you challenged me, gently, with my thinking and feelings. I went back to work feeling more confident.”
